(2.1.5) Redesign a Protective Case takes (1.3.7) Design a Protective Case and improves upon it. 2.1.5 is meant to represent the second cycle of the design process where you have already come up with a solution to a problem but want to make more improvements to your design/fix areas that needed to be improved and or were missed in the original prototype.

We improved off our previous design by adding vent holes to the top of the case to allow air circulation, end caps so that the wiring holding our hinge together wouldn't fall out, and introduced a new method of locking the case and tested it against our old lego locking case.
In the end we went with the lego case as it used less resources and would be cheaper when bringing up the concept of mass production to mind. 2.1.5 taught me how to look at a design I made myself and improve upon it and create something better, This is an important concept since engineers are always looking at ways to improve designs whether it be the fuel efficiency of a car, to what a car runs on (electricity/gas), showing how there is always room for improvement in a design as different people need different adaptations to a product depending on their enviorment around them.
